UPTA Research

I would like to request that all interested individuals wishing to present a research paper on a topic related to physical therapy to please submit an Abstract Registration Form to Stan Hartgraves. Those selected will have the opportunity to present (platform presentation) before their peers. Forms and instructions are located under the Research Publications link on the UPTA website.

Thanks,

UPTA Annual Conference 2008 Abstract Registration Form Instructions
UPTA Annual Conference 2008 Abstract Registration Form

As Chair of the Research Committee of the UPTA, I hope to promote the scholarly activity of Utah physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. One means of doing this is to provide opportunities to present at the Annual Conference (this year in Park City). As membership grows, I hope to see both platform and poster presentation opportunities at the Conference. These events also provide a great opportunity for students to hone their skills in making effective presentations and learning from the experienced scientists amongst us.

This section of the UPTA website might also serve as a resource to announce research-related achievements of members, and to alert members about upcoming opportunities to attend scientific lectures germane to physical therapy. In the near future, I will be seeking input from all therapists concerning their research interests and efforts, with the goal of disseminating this information and encouraging collaborative efforts and mentorship.

Please contact me with any ideas on how to promote scholarly activity in Utah.
